About Suelen Romani
Suelen Romani is a filmmaker, photographer and a human being.
Suelen believes that film and photography are powerful mediums to record humanity throughout times and to empower people through love and consciousness. She potentiates her work on different fronts by being a participant in debates and forums on violence against women and mental health as an alternative of discussion about self-development, acceptance and, above all, being at service to those who have been invisible by personal abusive experiences. She often relates to her work as an experience that is intuitive through emotions and optics. Her curiosity and love for her craft keeps moving her into challenging herself. Romani has a background in the art scene at the Central Saint Martins art and design school in London, in cinematography, with a degree in cinema from the New York Film Academy and the International Academy of Cinema São Paulo, and in performing arts, by the renowned William Esper acting studio in New York. In order to add knowledge to the DNA of her clicks, the photographer expanded her space by also completing her master class at the American Society of Cinematographers in Los Angeles.
